Let's Party, Coffee, Tea or Beam, political partisan tug of war!
64Let the war of words begin!
for the 'Beam' in my title
line think Jim Beam party,
the only party worth joining!
Coffee Party, Coffee Klatch
(house parties)
Scheduled for March 13..
Annabel Park the self
ordained founder and
leader of the Coffee Party
claims the movement is
made up of unhappy
Democrats, Republicans
and Independent voters.
BI-PARTISAN?
Read on, You be the Judge!
Tea baggers vs Coffee potty's!
According to Brendan Steinhauser, director of FreedomWorks.
Mr. Steinhauser manages federal and state campaigns for FreedomWorks
which is a nonprofit Conservative organization that has been an important
branch of the National Tea Party movement.
Mr. Steinhauser had this to say about the Coffee Party,
"This Coffee Party looks like a weak attempt at satire or a manufactured
response to a legitimate widespread grassroots movement,".
I did write a hub on the Coffee Party that details the management and
goals of this organization, claiming to be Grass Roots and bi-partisan.
You might want to go there if you have not read it yet..

i have been cautious about connecting Annabel Park with Obama and the
Democrats. That is about to change as you will read at the end of my story.
In a New York Times, week in review article, it appears this fresh out of the
box political movement has already come to the attention of
Mainstream Media.
Those who have followed the Tea Party and their National and local events
(rallies) are aware of the Mainstream Media's attitude and aversion to
reporting Tea Party events. When they did any reporting it was mostly
negative ridicule of the people and supporters, such as Sarah Palin.
Democrats need a Rally Monkey!
That was the title of a lead article in the New York Times under the
byline of author Kate Zernike.
To be honest, the article deals more with the problems Democrats are
facing, thanks to Barack Hussein Obama and the indiscretions of a
number of Democrat leaders who must have felt they were insulated
from media coverage of their misdeeds.
The Rally Monkey article opens with the Coffee party motto,
'Wake Up, Stand Up!',
and refers to the Coffee Party is a Leftish alternative to the Tea Party.
The article rant about the success of the Tea Party which has their sights
set on, as Sarah Palin has said, "another revolution" during the coming
mid-term elections.
The question is can the Democrats get back control of their agenda that
seems to have been lost in a short time.
If not, there could be a bloodbath for Democrat candidates in the November
elections. Apparently the Democrats have problems with extreme left
activists who feel there has been a lack of progress with liberal and
progressive goals promised in Obama's transformation of America.
If Obama can get some version of a Health Care bill passed, Democrats
feel that could turn the tide. Look for a watered down bill to pass before the
Summer recess in order to bolster their chances in November. Some
Republicans who are also in trouble would like to be part of that photo-op!
Failure is not in the Presidents vocabulary and he is running low on
'Blame Bush' excuses leaving him the option of blaming those old grumpy
people in the Tea Party. It was pointed out that in his Presidential Campaign
and State of the Union message he set up his excuse by saying that
"it's not up to him alone."!
Predictions of Republican victories in the November elections are premature
since a bad choice of Republican candidates could work well for Democrats.
The Tea Party is mostly aligned- with the Republican party Ideology
and they will be supporting candidates who reflect their values. If those
they support are a little too far to the Right, it could be bad news, not
just for Republicans, but also the Tea Party.
Republican candidates will be scrutinized by Democrats and their partners
in the mainstream media and that will be followed by the usual ridicule.
Ridicule of Republican candidates is the best Democrats have to offer in
support of their own candidates.
Bashing Sarah Palin!
A spokesperson for Democrats suggested the day will come when
Sarah Palin asks, and I quote, "how's that hopey changey thing workin'
out for ya". The ridicule has already begun and I don't know why they
have chosen to make Sarah Palin some kind of whipping boy!
Can it be Fear?
The spokesperson was at a loss as how to respond to the kind of
"taunt Ms. Palin tosses at wary Democrats like so many upside-down
horseshoes."!
Yup, I guess it is Fear!
In continuing to explain Democrat failures He pointed out that Senator
Al Franken speaking about problems passing health care, said,
Republican bunper stickers are one word 'NO' Democrats message
is so many words the have to be "continued on the next bumper sticker!'.
Hey that was pretty funny coming from a Democrat!
The battle against the Tea Party will utilize the Coffee Party to isolate the
Tea party as anti-establisment / anti-elite rather than an arm of the
Republican Party. Democrats are aware of the part the Tea Party had in
the election of Scott Brown, but they also say it was a wake up call for
Democrats and it is doubtful the Tea Party can maintain that momentum.
In about one year the Tea Party has mobiliized many American Patriots.
The fledgling Coffee Party on their facbook site hit 87,000 last Friday.
No big deal?
Remember everything you read from the Coffee Party claims no obligation
to any political party, they welcome everyone to their non-partisan
independent movement..
OK, the last but not least, a comment praising the non-partisan Coffee Party
was, the Obama Campaign still has 13 million e-mail addresses on its list,,,
followed by
More than any Tea Party group!!
Excuse Me!
Obama's 13 million e-mail addresses of supporters
and financial contributors are expected to be used to grow the
membership of the NON-PARTISAN Coffee Party!
Someone is a LIAR!
Annabel Park, what is GrassRoots about a political movement that
has access to Obama's 13 Million supporters and financial contributors?
Maybe those folks who have taken up with the Coffee Party because
they are disappointed in the progress of the Obama Presidency, need to
be reminded, 'The more things change, the more they stay the same'.
Annabel Park, I won't call you a liar, but if you think anyone is buying
your non-partisan line, you wasted a lot of time going to college.
Beam me up Scotty!

I don't think many people will pay much attention to the coffee party. It sound too much like the Tea Party and the left hate it, so I think they may stay clear of the coffee party, and it will die be irrevelant.
Keep on hubbing!
GA,
If it walks like a jackass, brays like a jackass its a Democrat.
I hadn't heard about the coffee party. However, to me, the thing about the tea party is that the citizens are showing signs of becoming involved. I consider myself one of them even though the only gathering in my town waasn't more than about fifty people. But it isn't a very large population.
good hub, necessary info. Where is Pelosi throwing around her labels like astroturf? This crew is more astroturf than the tea party ever dreamed of being. We all know the dems are running scared!
The coffee party is only a wannabe version of the tea party. And with the liberal media in their corner they are of course getting favorable press. But no one is fooled we all know the media is no longer reliable. I want the Heineken party myself !
The coffee party is a feeble and childish attempt by those who support and work for Obama to counteract the energy and popularity of the people's tea party movement. They are only engaging and fooling themselves.

For me it's coffee, tea or Johnny; Johnny Walker that is. As far as the Coffee Party is concerned I envision Jane Fonda sitting on a North Vietnam tank sipping a cup of Joe as their logo.
As for Sara Palin; she can handle herself. I'll take her over any liberal pinko commie in a debate; you betcha!
